Vernissage on Friday, 17 December, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., observing all anti-epidemic measures and with controlled access.
The exhibition is based on the event that has been held at Koral Beach from 2011 to 2021 by students and professors of NBU in collaboration with foreign universities, freelance artists and established authors in site-specific art – art that is made for a specific place, including artworks of the land art and conceptualism, performance design and installation through the concepts of upcycled design and ready-made. The exhibition will introduce and showcase various points and concepts of the site as the main generator of the artistic process, as well as the works of photographers, visual artists and designers who have participated in the project “Save Koral Beach ” during the last ten years.
The exhibition shows works realized over time by students under the guidance of Prof. Oliver Langbein, founder of Subversive Architecture, Prof. Dr. Boris Serginov – one of the radical authors working in the field of contemporary art from the 1990s to the present, works realized under the direction of Prof. Lars Harmsen – designer, artist and lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Dortmund, Dr. Bilyana Kaloyanova – designer and lecturer at NBU, author of the book “Conceptual and sustainable design”, photographs and conceptual images of Prof. Dr. Vasil Garnizov – one of the founders of NBU and Anthropology in Bulgaria, Dr. Rosslan Lozev, Dr. Evelina Gebreva, Vessela Stanoeva – conceptual designer, curator, Dr. Ivo Popov and many others.
