A WINDOW TO CHILDHOOD
River Park Project

26/02/2020 - 3/05/2020

The National Gallery presents its first ever graffiti exhibition with projects by Nasimo, Sve, Esteo, Arsek & Erase. ‘A Window to Childhood’ is dedicated to a carefree childhood.

This creative initiative is supported by the River Park team, and its art director and curator is the famous artist Nasimo, whose work in the urban environment is well known not only in Bulgaria but also in Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Italy, Belgium, Portugal, Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia, Greece, Kosovo, Turkey, India, China and Russia.

On 28 and 29 September 2019, seven works of art, inspired by the priceless childhood memories, were created in front of a crowd of spectators. All the artworks are also connected with the River Park complex, which is currently under construction. Nasimo and his colleagues – Sve, Esteo, Arsek & Erase, made a live demonstration of different techniques and skills. The artists drew on portable panels in order to be able to exhibit their works in a gallery and continue to convey their message to a broader audience.

The visitors of Kvadrat 500 will be able to delve into the personal memories of the graffiti artists, but also go back in time to revisit their own childhood. The purpose of the art project is to both promote this area of contemporary art and to emphasize the importance of bringing children outside to play with friends again.

The notion of a carefree childhood, full of outdoor games and entertainment, is one of the cornerstones in the design of the River Park gated community. Its infrastructure is characterized by the ‘smart planning’ in the interior distribution of the complex and the panoramic views of Vitosha and the city. Over 80% of the complex is designated as a park area with over 3,000 trees, recreation areas, playgrounds, jogging alleys, and a dog park. This space will predispose its residents toward creating memories away from the virtual realm.

The River Park company has more than 40 years of real estate experience. The future River Park complex is funded by Real Estate Developments (RED), which is a 100% subsidiary of Dynamic Group, an international investment group based in the Netherlands, founded in 1973, with most of its activities related to the development of real estate on a global scale.
